Hey y'all!
I hope you're having the happiest of Tuesdays...let's jump in and see what's going on in my life lately :)
ONE
If you're still looking for the perfect Mother's Day gift...look no further than my Mother's Day Gift Guide!
It's got something for every type of Mom so no matter whether she's glam and wants the latest eye-shadow palette or whether she's a homey Mama and she would love some special tea towels, I've got you covered.
TWO
I've been binging one of Hulu's new series; The Handmaid's Tale. It's based off of a book that was released in the 90's and y'all...it's kind of terrifying and definitely for mature audiences, but it leaves you feeling thoughtful.
If you've read the book or watched the show-let me know what you think below!
THREE
My pretty iris have started blooming; having flowers at our home is one of my favorite parts about where we live-it's one of the things that makes me feel okay about currently living "in town".
FOUR
This past week the first anniversary of my graduation from Jacksonville State University passed.
It was surreal almost to see the newest class of Gamecocks graduate and for me to realize that I've been out in the real world for a year, really over a year because I've been teaching since before I graduated.
A word of advice to anyone who is in high school or college; enjoy every moment because they are far too fleeting!
Adulthood is awesome, don't get me wrong-but high school and college hold some very dear memories to me.
Gotta love having your wedding photographer (& good friend!) take your graduation photos-she had to get that ring shot in there 😉
FIVE
A huge favorite for this week is the fact that as of today we only have 16 school days left before summer break! I have to say, I have been incredibly blessed to be at my current school this year & I cannot wait to see what's going to happen next year-but for now, I'm ready for a break!
SIX
SEVEN
When I went shopping with my mom and sisters last week I tried on some Lilly and fell in love with a couple of things, but didn't pull the trigger on any of them.
I'm holding out hope that they might be in the big sale at the end of summer!
EIGHT
I had the pleasure of meeting Grace at the Alabama Young Farmer's Conference this past year and just fell in love with her sweet spirit!
She's so inspiring and her posts always make me think.
As Chris and I talk more and more about one day building a home of our own on our farm, I've been thinking about what I want our home to be like-not just that I want it to be white with black shutters, a beautiful copper farmhouse sink, and a huge pantry...and closet ;) (okay, I do think about that stuff)
But how I want our home to feel, what I want it to stand for.
Over on Grace's blog she shared a post called The Breakfast Nook and it is so beautiful and I couldn't help but share it.
NINE
A few weeks back I shared my obsession with the these bookends...well, thanks to my Mama I've added a new addition to our home that's even better than those bookends.
Pineapple wreath hangers, to trim out my pretty U's that we have hanging on our doors!
I absolutely love them; she picked them up at Homegood's for $5 each, practically a steal.
TEN
I just got a coupon that's burning a hole in my pocket for this little gingham number and this pretty blush option!
Well y'all, that's all for this week's Ten on Tuesday-let me know below what you're up to this week.
I'm off to go get ready to see some of my sweet student's perform at tonight's band concert!
Until next time. . .
xoxo,
The Handmaid's Tale is something that I've been wanting to watch but I'm a bit scared to. It's seems so intense and I feel like it will upset me. Eventually I'll bite the bullet and check it out though.
